In this episode, I’m just sitting down for a real, unplanned chat with you—no notes, no big research topic—just a few things that have been on my mind lately. And funny enough, whether I’m talking about eyelashes, lifting weights, or what I ate on a cruise, it all comes back to the same lesson: the results we want in life (and on carnivore) usually come from doing the simple things consistently… even when it feels like it’s taking forever.

The Time Is Going to Pass Anyway

I’ll tell you a quick story. I bought an eyelash serum months ago, and I didn’t even want to start it because it said it would take 4–6 weeks to see results. That felt like such a long time.

But here’s the thing… those six weeks passed anyway.

And I remember thinking, man, if I had just started when I first thought about it, I’d already be there. That’s when it hit me—how many things in life am I putting off just because they take time?

The same is true with carnivore. Whether it’s healing your gut, losing weight, or feeling better overall… the time will pass. You just get to decide if you’re going to have progress behind you or not.

Consistency Isn’t Flashy… But It Works

I’ve been lifting weights twice a week for over a year now. And you know what? Someone just recently noticed.

A whole year.

But again—that year was going to pass no matter what. I can either have a year of effort behind me, or a year of wishing I had started.

That’s how this way of eating works too. It’s not about perfection. It’s about showing up, eating the meat, doing the work, and trusting that it adds up.

What Happened When I Added Cheese

We went on a cruise recently, and I stuck to my usual foods—steaks, burger patties, eggs, butter, heavy cream. I felt great.

But I added one thing I don’t normally eat much of: goat cheese. Not a ton. Just a few tablespoons each night.

I came home five pounds heavier.

Now listen—I love cheese. I wish it worked for me. But for my body, I can either maintain my weight… or I can eat cheese. I don’t get both. So I took it back out, and the weight came right back off. That’s the beauty of this lifestyle—you get real feedback. Your body tells you what works.

The First Bite Is the One That Matters

I also talked about something I see a lot—people doing great, then falling back into sugar and saying, “my addiction got me again.” And I get that. I really do.

But what I’ve learned is this: the hardest moment isn’t after the binge. It’s that first bite.

Because once you take that bite, everything changes. The cravings wake up, the dopamine hits, and now you’re fighting an uphill battle. It is so much easier to say no before you start.

You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need to take that first step and keep going.
