Part 1 of 2: Claire’s Ongoing Transformation
In this first part of a two-episode series on My Zero Carb Life, I sit down with Claire Lee, a long-time coaching member who has lost 182 pounds—but as she shares so honestly, the real story goes far beyond weight loss. This conversation dives into the mindset shifts, emotional growth, and daily habits that truly shape long-term success. If you’ve ever felt frustrated by the scale or wondered why “getting there” doesn’t always feel like you expected, Claire’s story will resonate deeply.
It’s Not Just About the Scale
Claire has done something incredible—she’s lost over 180 pounds. But even now, she admits that stepping on the scale can still affect her mood. Sound familiar?
What she’s learning (and what I remind my coaching groups all the time) is this: that number doesn’t tell the full story. Claire is five clothing sizes smaller than she’s ever been at this same weight in the past. She’s stronger, building muscle, and no longer dealing with the inflammation she once had.
That’s real progress.
The Fear of “What Comes Next”
One of the most powerful parts of Claire’s update is something we don’t talk about enough—the fear of success.
After spending a lifetime trying to lose weight, she’s now facing a new question: What happens when I actually get there? That uncertainty can quietly lead to self-sabotage.
For Claire, it sometimes shows up as that little voice saying, “Cheese is carnivore… it’s fine.” And while it is carnivore, she knows it doesn’t work for her body. That awareness—being honest about what helps and what hurts—is where real freedom begins.
Small Habits, Big Results
Claire beautifully described this journey like chiseling away at stone or laying one brick at a time. It’s not about perfection—it’s about consistency.
She’s been dialing in things like:
- Strength training a couple times a week
- Improving her sleep (even when it’s hard!)
- Getting morning light and managing stress
- Experimenting with higher-fat days for better energy
And guess what? Those small shifts are adding up in big ways.
One of the most surprising parts of Claire’s story is what’s happening beneath the surface. Long-standing calcium deposits around her eyes—something she dealt with for years—have started disappearing.
We see this all the time. When you give your body what it truly needs, healing can show up in ways you never imagined.
This Isn’t the End—It’s the Lifestyle
Claire said something that I absolutely love: this journey doesn’t have an endpoint. That’s the shift.
This way of eating—and living—is about continuing to grow, refine, and feel better over time. There’s no “finish line,” just a better and better version of you.
