Identity Change on Carnivore Isn’t Optional—It’s Essential

Let’s talk about something most carnivore success stories have in common (even if people don’t always say it out loud): changing who I was helped me keep the results going long term.

In this episode of My Zero Carb Life, I tell a story I’ve never fully shared publicly before. It’s about an old friend who once said to me, “You’ve changed.” It wasn’t intended as a compliment. But looking back now, he was absolutely right.

When I first started eating zero carb, I was doing the diet—but in my heart and head, I was still my old self. I still dreamed about carbs. I still felt like a girl “pretending” to be healthy. And I hadn’t fully embraced my new identity as a carnivore.

That shift didn’t happen overnight. But the truth is: long-term health success often starts when we stop “trying” carnivore… and start being a carnivore.

It’s the same with anything:

  • You don’t “walk” sometimes—you become a walker
  • You don’t just lift weights—you are a weightlifter
  • You don’t just dabble in meat—you are a carnivore

And when we step into that identity with confidence, it rewires how we see ourselves. That’s powerful.

Here’s why this message matters (and what to do next)

If you’ve ever felt like you keep “falling off” or you just can’t make carnivore stick, this episode is for you.

And if you’re ready to stop dabbling and finally become the person you’ve been trying to be? That’s where our carnivore coaching groups come in.

We focus on more than just meat—we work on mindset, motivation, identity, and community. You’ll learn how to handle pushback from others, break carb addiction, and finally feel like yourself in your new lifestyle.

I’d love to coach you through that process—alongside a tribe of supportive carnivores who get it. Let’s get started.

  1. I self sabotage, not something I like. I only had 2-1/2 days carnivore and then sabotaged. I have started many times and sabotaged myself. I have a loving husband who will assist me and eventually he wants this as well. I’ll take a look at this for me.i just want to feel better I don’t care about weight right now just changing the way I feel. I hurt and I have been told don’t you think you are special and that was when I was letting my light shine the brightest and making change and was happy, and then I would hide my light go back to the way I was. The lizard keeps telling me it doesn’t really matter just eat . And sugar talks to me. I have some rearranging to do to assist me and I will always be walking towards what I desire and that is healthy bod don’t wan to be like others I have as they age.i will do it.😊

  2. I can so duplicate the feelings you had from this latest sat video. Change is GOOD. But those who cant change sometimes shame us because we had the strength to change and they do not have the confront to attempt change. they are locked prisoners in their ways so to speak.
