How Erna Healed on a Carnivore Diet

When Erna was diagnosed with primary progressive multiple sclerosis (MS) at age 53, she was told it would only get worse. Years of chronic pain, migraines, bronchitis, and joint issues had already worn her down—and the new diagnosis felt like the final blow. But what she discovered next changed everything. In this episode, Erna shares how a switch to a meat-based diet didn’t just slow her decline—it gave her life back.

From Desperation to Discovery

Erna grew up vegetarian and later went fully vegan, believing she was doing the right thing for her health. Instead, she developed a long list of chronic issues—eczema, inflammation, joint pain, and eventually neurological problems that led to her MS diagnosis. She found herself unable to use one of her arms due to the awful pain. After collapsing emotionally, she began researching other options and stumbled onto the ketogenic diet.

It was a book by cardiologist Dr. Philip Ovadia—Stay Off My Operating Table—that opened her eyes to the carnivore way of eating. Skeptical but desperate, she gave herself three months to try eating only meat. What happened next was nothing short of astonishing.

Day 7: “I Got My Arm Back”

Just seven days into carnivore, Erna absentmindedly put on her coat and realized she could suddenly move her arm without pain. It was the same arm she thought she’d already lost to MS. In the weeks and months that followed, her sinus issues, migraines, bloating, foot pain, and even hand arthritis disappeared.

She’s now over two years in—still carnivore, still healing, and thriving. Her CAC score? Zero. Her heart’s biological age? 35. This lifestyle didn’t just improve her symptoms—it reversed them.
