Dr. Ken Berry joins me to talk about the power of foundational fixes—and when it’s okay to reach for extra tools.

In this episode of My Zero Carb Life, I sat down with Dr. Ken Berry to talk through what he calls foundational fixes—simple, powerful changes that could reverse up to 80% of chronic disease in America. If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by complicated protocols or confused about when to consider things like peptides or hormone therapy, this is the episode for you.

Here’s a quick breakdown of what we covered:

  • The “Big 3” dietary eliminations: Added sugar, grains, and seed oils—and why removing them clears out almost all ultra-processed food.
  • Lifestyle upgrades: Morning sun, real sleep, movement, and hobbies to manage stress and reset our “monkey minds.”
  • When GLP-1 agonists make sense: Low-dose, short-term use for folks battling relentless food noise—and why it’s not a cheat code.
  • Fat fasting: Why a spoonful of butter might teach you more about hunger than any app ever could.
  • Food tracking, the right way: When undereating stalls progress, tracking protein and fat macros can be a useful tool.
  • Hormones & thyroid support: Why symptoms matter just as much as labs—and how bioidenticals can be a game-changer after trying the basics.

Whether you’re just starting out or feeling stuck, this conversation is packed with insights and encouragement. Click play above, take some notes, and remember: the foundation always comes first.

  1. I just watched Dr. Bikman and he has researched some natural options to raising our GLP1’s. I would go that route first.
